Viz and Diving Report 8/9 April: So the first ‘real’ diving weekend of the year – it’s been a long time coming, thank you UK weather! But what a fabulous weekend we had. The weather was stunning and we have some great divers with us:
The DivingLunatics all the way from Holland and Belgium, the Dive Academy all the way from Yeovil (Ok maybe not quite so impressive a distance but an equally fun group) and lots of distinctly dodgy divers from Ipswich, Portsmouth, Southampton, Portland, London and the surrounds.
Wherever you were from it was great to see you and thank you for making our weekend such fun and of course for diving with us!
The viz was variable. Some really rather good 8 or more metres at Durdle Door, James Fennel and the deeper bits of Grove and Church Ope (plus a report from Skin Deep of 8 plus metres on the M2). Sadly and obviously less impressive was the 3-4 metres in the harbour and the Bally Bay area. But…
Dogfish, Cuttlefish and a surprising number of other fishy type critters were seen (only surprising as it is still quite early in the year). CUTTLEFISH… not fair – I was driving the boat grrrr! 🙁
The weather for Easter is looking fabulous so get booking and come on down. The viz should improve even more as the forecast is good, good, good! If you can’t find our schedule it’s here: Easter Schedule
