After your confined water dives, you’ll head to the sea where you will do four dives, usually over two days. On these dives you’ll get to explore the underwater world seeing wrecks, marine life and probably other divers! You’ll apply the skills you learned in the pool while enjoying ‘proper’ diving.
Most student divers complete these dives close with us in Portland, but there is an option for finishing your training whilst on holiday. We run trips to Egypt every 2 months, and whilst this option obviously costs more you get a diving holiday thrown in too!

1 & 2 Day Courses
Scuba divers nearly always describe their PADI Rescue Diver course as the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they’ve ever taken. Why? Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become so much more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed.ving.
Love scuba diving? Want to share it with others on a whole new level? Take the PADI Divemaster course and do what you love to do as a career. Scuba divers look up to divemasters because they are leaders who mentor and motivate others. As a divemaster, you not only get to dive a lot, but also experience the joy of seeing others have as much fun diving as you do.
Open Water Scuba Instructor
Teaching scuba diving allows you to share your love of the aquatic world with others while doing what you enjoy – being in, around and under water. PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors and PADI Assistant Instructors are the most sought-after dive professionals around the world because they’ve completed the program that sets the standard for training dive professionals.
IDC Staff Instructor
Just as scuba divers look up to divemasters, instructor candidates really respect IDC Staff Instructors. As the name implies, IDC Staff Instructors assist with instructor training and share their wisdom and experience with new PADI leaders.
Technical (tec) diving means going beyond recreational scuba diving limits. But, tec divers will tell you that it’s really about the challenge and adventure of exploring places that no one else has ever seen.
